Led by a knowledgeable historian, the tour immerses visitors in the early days of the American Revolution, focusing on the crucial years between 1760 and 1775. Along the 2.5-mile route, participants explore 16 significant historical sites, including the Old South Meeting House (where the Boston Tea Party was sparked), the Old State House, Boston’s oldest surviving public building, and the Old Corner Bookstore, which once published the works of literary giants like Thoreau and Hawthorne.

Other experiences that made the list

Viator named 20 standout experiences across the U.S. in its 2025 rankings, showcasing a wide range of adventures from coast to coast. Coming in second place is Big Island in a Day, a full-day tour in Hawaii where travelers explore the waterfalls, volcanoes, and diverse landscapes of the Big Island.

In third place, it’s back to Massachusetts for a guided walking tour of Salem. This tour dives into the town’s haunted history and infamous witch trials, offering spooky stories and eerie insight into one of America’s most mysterious destinations.

Other top-rated experiences include a dual-country tour of Niagara Falls, which gives guests the chance to experience the falls from both the American and Canadian sides. In Savannah, Georgia, a one-hour cemetery golf cart guided tour made the list, offering a unique way to explore the city’s famously haunted graveyards.

Foodies will appreciate the inclusion of the Little Havana Food and Walking Tour in Miami, where participants sample Cuban cuisine while learning about the culture of one of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods.
